Logo design and visual identity for Southern Junction—a Texas-Style BBQ joint featuring meats and veggies smoked over local wood, with influences of south Indian dishes and flavors. The owner, Ryan Fernandez, was born in the state of Kerala in India but spent his formative years in Texas which is how he ended up making what he calls "Texish Style" barbeque. As Southern Junction's popularity in Buffalo grew, it was time for him to upgrade from a take-out only kitchen to a full scale restaurant. During this transition, Stronhold was tasked with developing a more cohesive visual identity which is still being rolled out today. In 2024 Ryan was honored to find out he was a James Beard "Emerging Chef" finalist and Stronghold could not be more proud to be associated with such an iconic Buffalo staple.
