Kiku Room is a hi-fi listening room serving up classic cocktails and a highly curated listening experience in San Diego's booming Little Italy neighborhood—drawing inspiration from the Japanese record bar scene. The term "kiku" is a conjugation of the Japanese verb meaning "to listen". Expanding on these ideas, the logo features a waving cat, knwown as maneki-neko in Japanese culture, and custom wordmark. The red and black color palette evokes a sense of late night comfort patrons will feel in the space and is contrasted with a grittier graphic motif used for various print and digital pieces.
