2023 Gold ADDY, Brand Campaign
After Jon Palmeri, owner of Jonny the Barber and Stronghold client, and his wife Tiffany purchased a salon in the village of Williamsville, NY with plans for new location for the barbershop as well as a full-service salon they came to Stronghold for some help. First, they needed a name. Tiffany had mentioned her vision for the aesthetic of the salon was the Beverly Hills hotel. When most people think of California, they think of palm trees—since they have one child we quickly landed on the name Three Palms, as in three Palmeris.
The palm tree logo, which can expand and contact based on the height it's being placed and also made for a great brand pattern, hints at this subtle meaning, with one tree being smaller and between two larger trees. The color palette was created using actual photos of the Beverly Hills hotel and the typography was inspired by mid-century ephemera that is so synonomous with California.
